GW at Mount Vernon. Two overnight guests left after breakfast.
Walter Magowan and Andrew Morton each wrote GW on this date. Magowan’s letter inquired about tickets for Lord Stirling’s lottery obtained from GW for sale in Maryland. That lottery never distributed the promised prizes. Morton wrote that he still hoped to reside at Belvoir despite indications to the contrary and asked GW if he could keep the furniture in the house until his own arrived.
