GW at Mount Vernon. GW wrote in his diary that his stepson John Parke Custis left for to Md. He also wrote that he had grafted his blooming cherry trees.

GW wrote to Edward Snickers regarding paying Snickers for hauling and threshing Col. George Mercer’s wheat at GW’s mill. He added that he would give Snickers payment for his other services when GW was paid for his corn.
