GW and his men continued their slow march to Redstone Creek, Pa. where they would build a fort. A trader arrived from the Wyandot country. The Half-King expressed to this trader the joy that GW’s speech brought, and the trader conveyed this message. The Half-King dispatched fifty men to meet them. The trader informed GW the French were working on building a fort.
