GW at Mount Vernon. He had company in the afternoon. These people included Benedict Calvert, John Beale Bordley, Launcelot Jacques, Andrew Wagener, Dr. William Rumney, and Va. politician Robert Rutherford.
GW also wrote two letters: one to Thomas Johnson and one to Andrew Morton. Neither letter has been found, but the one to Johnson likely discussed the cloth manufacturing scheme of Normand Bruce and the one to Morton undoubtedly related to his undesired occupancy of neighboring Belvoir.
