GW presumably traveling to Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Del. Delegates wrote GW a letter from Philadelphia recommending John Parke for military service. He was later appointed assistant quartermaster general of the Continental Army on 16 Aug., 1775. Va. delegate Richard Henry Lee also wrote GW a letter from Philadelphia discussing the Battle of Bunker Hill including the loss of Dr. Joseph Warren. He explained that the Congress would try to cultivate friendship with the Six Nations and Canada Indians, and that Gen. Philip Schuyler would enter Canada to prevent the British from influencing the Indians against the Americans.
