GW was in  Alexandria, Va. with his regiment.  Based on his recent letters to Va. Lt. Gov. Robert Dinwiddie where he describes a great lack of supplies, he likely spent this day attempting to secure provisions for his regiment . GW was also plagued with the issue of deserters as a result of the poor condition of his regiment.
