The Fairfax Independent Company wrote asking if GW planned to send them his hunting shirt and cap so that they could be copied for uniforms. Fredericksburg, Va. merchant Charles Yates wrote asking GW to pay him 50 pounds for a subscription, possibly related to fundraising to clear the Potomac River, he had signed.
