He also criticizes many officers and soldiers for “quitting their Guard before they are regularly relieved and dismissed.”

President of the Continental Congress John Hancock wrote that the Congress was finding materials for making tents and shirts, had appointed a committee to establish a hospital, updated him on recruitment, and that Ga. had decided to oppose the British and send delegates to the Congress.
