GW at Philadelphia. GW sent an enclosure to Thomas Jefferson, the contents of which may have concerned Indian relations, with instructions to peruse them and forward them to Alexander Hamilton. GW also requested a meeting for ten o’clock 25 Feb. 1792, with the heads of each department to discuss the contents of the enclosure.

N.Y. Gov. George Clinton wrote GW about the resignation of William Stephens Smith from the Office of Supervisor of the Revenue for the N.Y. District. Clinton recommended Dr. Thomas Tillotson be appointed to the vacancy. Tillotson would not later receive the appointment.
