GW at Mount Vernon, where three overnight visitors left after breakfast. In his diary, GW reported snow in the morning but the afternoon as “clear & exceeding pleasant.”

GW wrote Thomas Cresap asking him not to take and use land properly belonging to a son of GW’s deceased brother Augustine. Ignoring this warning could lead to “a disagreeable Law contest” with the estate executors.
