14 May 1754

GW was marching, presumably near the Great Crossing of the Youghiogheny River in Pa., at which he would arrive before 18 May 1754. GW was still gathering supplies and men for a retaliatory attack against the French in the Ohio Valley.  He also received letters daily about colonial troop movement, and reports on the location of enemy soldiers.
