GW was in Alexandria, Virginia.  By way of Ens. Peyronie, GW sent a letter to Va. Lt. Gov. Dinwiddie again protesting the inadequate supplies and pay of the colonial soldiers.

GW was presumably on his way down the Potomac River and heading towards Alexandria, Va. where he would arrive in the beginning of August.
