GW in N.Y. GW wrote in his diary that he spoke with the Secretary of War, Henry Knox, and the Secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton, about the appointment of officers for lighthouses, the building of such a lighthouse at Cape Henry, and military pensions. Potential policies concerning the violence of the Creek Indian Nation were also discussed.
