GW at Mount Vernon. Robert Adam, Dumfries, Va. merchant Andrew Leitch, and his wife, Margaretta Leitch, visited.

GW released an advertisement in Fairfax County regarding a reward for two servants, a Bristol-born joiner and a Scottish brick maker, who ran away 19 April.

GW’s brother-in-law Fielding Lewis wrote that he had received GW’s survey of his Ohio land. He added his opinion that fighting for the gunpowder taken by Va. Gov. Lord Dunmore seemed inevitable.
