GW at American headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He asked in his General Orders that disputes regarding soldiers enlisted in multiple regiments be dealt with by the Brigadier commanding their brigade, not brought to him.

He wrote to his close friend George William Fairfax in England assuring him of the low losses during the Battle of Bunker Hill and sending a declaration from Congress to Great Britain explaining the cause of their taking up arms.

Brig. Gen. John Thomas wrote GW an update of British fleet movements.
