GW in Philadelphia for the Second Continental Congress. It rained a little bit in the forenoon. GW had dinner with all members of the Congress at the City Tavern.

GW in Philadelphia for the Second Continental Congress. GW had dinner at Daniel Smith’s City Tavern with delegates from the Congress.

GW had breakfast in Chester, Pa. He had dinner at the City Tavern in Philadelphia, Pa., and spent the night at lawyer Joseph Reed’s home.

GW had breakfast in Charlestown, Md. He travelled through Christiana Bridge, then had dinner and spent the night in Wilmington, Del. GW noted that it was raining on and off.

GW had breakfast at Cheyn’s Tavern, which was located thirteen miles to the east of Baltimore, Md. He had dinner at John Rodgers’ tavern, in Susquehanna Lower Ferry, Md.

GW at Mount Vernon. Gen. Charles Lee and Dr. William Rumney left after breakfast.

19 April 1775

GW at Mount Vernon. Sisters Mrs. Thomas Blackburn and Mrs. William Brown left after dinner. Dr. William Rumney arrived in the afternoon.

GW at Mount Vernon all day. He wrote in his diary that Col. George Mason visited in the afternoon. Gen.

GW at Mount Vernon. In his diary he wrote that he hosted Dr. William Rumney and Alexandria, Va.

GW at Mount Vernon. He wrote in his diary that Capt. Saunders left after dinner and he hosted John Lloyd for dinner and the night. His visitor Andrew Stewart left after dinner.
