GW at Philadelphia. GW sent Thomas Jefferson letters from French attorney de Mirbeck of 6 March 1792, Swiss intellectual Rodolph Vall-Travers of 30 Nov. 1791, and the Proprietors of the Federal City to George Walker of 9 March 1792, intending for Jefferson to respond to them as he saw fit.

GW also wrote to Hannah Fairfax Washington, widow of GW’s cousin Warner Washington, asking for her help in making a sketch of the Washington family genealogical history. He forwarded her British researcher Sir Isaac Heard’s letter to him of 7 Dec. 1791 on the subject.

Alexander Hamilton sent GW a letter from Minister to The Hague William Short regarding a new loan the United States was taking out from Holland.
