GW at American headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The general orders of the day updated the troops of several trial results and that prisoners and deserters were to be sent to Worcester, Massachusetts.

Lt. Col. Loammi Baldwin wrote GW a daily update of the boat traffic in Chelsea, Massachusetts. He asked GW to send someone to help monitor the increased traffic out of Boston, since Gen. Thomas Gage had suddenly allowed refugees to leave. Baldwin also notes that his officers are very sick.

GW wrote to James Warren, president of the Mass. provincial congress, regarding Baldwin’s report that Gage had unexpectedly allowed emigration from Boston again after he had banned it previously. GW requested that Warren determine what to do with the situation.
