Rev. Andrew Morton wrote GW from neighboring Belvoir that he was unable to get a bond executed. The bond was meant to be given to GW in order to lease George William Fairfax’s Belvoir property. He also wrote that he would only live in the area for one year because he knew GW disapproved of his presence. GW disliked Morton because of scandalous behavior as a minister.
