GW was in Alexandria, Va., likely preparing his troops for the impending march to Wills Creek, Pennsylvania/Maryland. He also wrote a letter to James Mackay of the independent company from S.C.

GW was in Alexandria, Virginia. On this day, GW wrote a letter to Col. James Innes, commander of an independent N.C. regiment; however, this letter has not been found and its contents are unknown.
