21 May 1775	GW in Philadelphia for the Second Continental Congress. He dined with Richard Willing, who would later serve as a captain in the Revolutionary War.
17 January 1775	GW in Alexandria, Va., where he spent the day “Under Arms” and chaired the Committee of Fairfax County in the evening.
08 April 1775	GW at Mount Vernon. GW wrote in his diary that he had hosted Rector Walter Magowan who left after breakfast. Martha and GW rode to the mill.
06 April 1775	GW at Mount Vernon. All of his visitors from the previous day left, except for Rector Walter Magowan. Richard Adams came in the evening and stayed the night.
11 March 1775	GW at Mount Vernon. Anne Clifton Slaughter dined with GW. He wrote in his diary about the growth of peaches and pecans in his gardens.
10 March 1775	GW at Mount Vernon. GW wrote in his diary that his stepson John Parke Custis left for to Md. He also wrote that he had grafted his blooming cherry trees.
06 March 1775	GW at Mount Vernon. Col. Benjamin Harrison and Capt. James Wood left in the morning. Mrs. Sarah Barnes and her granddaughter Miss Betcy Ramsey stayed for breakfast but left afterward.
03 March 1775	GW at Mount Vernon. His guests, Dr. Walter Hanson Jenifer, his wife Ann, and Mrs. Sinah Ball McCarty of Pope’s Creek Va. all left after breakfast. GW was at home for the rest of the day.
15 April 1792	GW at Philadelphia. Governor of Surinam Juriaen François de Friderici wrote GW introducing physician and writer David Nassy, an immigrant to the U.S. from Surinam.
08 April 1792	GW at Philadelphia.
