GW at Mount Vernon. GW wrote in his diary that he was home all day, but hosted Capt. Saunders for the night.

GW in Alexandria, Va., where he spent the day “Under Arms” and chaired the Committee of Fairfax County in the evening.

10 January 1775

GW at Mount Vernon all day. In his diary, GW reports a “Mr. Stone” dined there.

03 January 1775

GW spent the day at Mount Vernon.

11 June 1754

GW at his camp in Great Meadows, Pennsylvania. Having heard that some French soldiers were nearby, he sent Indian scouts to gather information about their whereabouts and their size.

04 April 1775

GW at Mount Vernon. He had dinner with lawyer James Tilghman, Jr., James Buchanan, Alexandria, Va. merchants William Herbert and John Fitzgerald, as well as Daniel Carroll, Jr.

 

28 March 1775

GW left Richmond, Va. He had dinner at Hanover Court House. GW noted in his diary that the weather was extremely cold with a frost.

 

21 March 1775

GW dined at Cowley’s Tavern in Richmond and returned to spend the night at Col. Archibald Cary’s.  GW spent the day at the Second Va.

14 March 1775

GW at Mount Vernon. James Cleveland, who had arrived on 12 March, remained at Mount Vernon.

07 March 1775
