GW at Mount Vernon all day. He wrote in his diary that Col. George Mason visited in the afternoon. Gen.

GW at Mount Vernon. GW and Martha attended Pohick church and came home for dinner. They hosted Dr. James Craik, GW’s personal physician, and Daniel Jenifer of Port Tobacco, Md. for the night.

GW attended Pohick Church.

GW at Mount Vernon. He wrote in his diary that it was relatively cold and cloudy with light winds.

GW spent the day at Mount Vernon, where he totaled his gambling losses and winning going back to 28 Feb. 1772. Doctor James Craik left his home after breakfast. 

28 July 1754

GW was presumably navigating the Potomac River en route to Alexandria, Va. where he arrived in early August. On this day, GW wrote a letter to Va. Lt. Gov.

21 July 1754

GW presumably remained in Williamsburg after he and Capt. James Mackay of the independent company from S.C. delivered their account on the Fort Necessity campaign to Va. Lt. Gov.

02 April 1775

GW at Mount Vernon. He had dinner with Rector Walter Magowan, John David Woelpper (Wilper), who had served under GW in the French and Indian War, and Phillip Curtis, a ship captain.

 

26 March 1775

GW stayed in Wilton, Va., all day, where there was a misting rain.

19 March 1775

GW dined with Wiley Roy at the Bolling green and stayed at the Hanover Court House, 15 miles north of Richmond.
